I am a Board-Certified Internal Medicine specialist and Cardiologist with extensive Medical Management experience involving Chief of the Medical Staff, Department Chair of Internal Medicine, Chief Consultant for Internal Medicine Services for the US Air Force Medical Service, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and Medical Director for the State of Delaware Department of Correction.
I have experience in Human Resources issues, such as Physical Evaluations, Reasonable Accommodation Requests and Return to Work evaluations. As the Chief Consultant for Internal Medicine the Air Force Medical Services, I have extensive Institutional Review Boards as President and member of multiple IRBs and Data Safety Boards, Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, including being Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, and president and member of multiple Clinical Guidelines for the VA/DoD (Veterans Administration and Department of Defense).
I have many years experience in Utilization Management of pharmaceutical, imaging and procedures, along with reconsiderations and appeals to the Administrative Law Judge level.
